Cascade GIS has extensive resilience expertise, particularly in the seismic sector. We have contributed to large-scale regional seismic studies, modeling the effects of a Cascadia Subduction Zone (CSZ) earthquake on infrastructure including water systems and transportation routes. We have also worked with climate data and vegetation changes through time. Projects in Oregon have included Portland, Forest Grove, and Jackson County. We have also contributed to a global offshore study, and a Seattle, Washington, study.
We work closely with engineers, geologists, and planners to determine potential impacts and appropriate mitigation measures for this expanding and exciting field.
